A beast of a plate! The BigTreeTech Octopus V1.0 Pro is equipped with a powerful 32-bit ARM microprocessor that is supported by Klipper, ReprapFirmware and Marlin software. With 8 slots for stepper motor control modules, not only several extruders, but also, for example, a bed plate can be levelled at three points.
In terms of expansion options, the Octopus V1.0 Pro offers a lot of space. You can install an automatic bed height sensor, LCD screens and WIFI. There are connections for 5 thermistors, 4 heating elements, a heated bed and 6 PWM fans.
The eight stepper motor driver slots are Pololu-compatible and can be configured for SPI and UART communication. You can choose per slot with a jumper whether you want to use the separate power supply for stepper drivers. This allows you to feed up to 60 Volt to the stepper motor control, whereby the module must of course be able to handle this. The TMC5160, for example, is a good option for this, which you can safely control at 48V for extra fast movements.
