Printing technique
Roughly speaking, there are two types of 3D printers, printers that work with FDM/FFF and printers that work with SLA/DLP technology. We have prepared a separate decision aid for both 3D printers, below you will find more information about the printing techniques.
FDM/FFF (Most Popular Choice)
3D printers that print with FDM/FFF use filament. The printer builds an object by stacking molten filament layer by layer. This is done based on a predetermined model.

SLA/DLP
In 3D printers using SLA/DLP, an object is created by selectively curing a polymer resin layer by layer using a UV laser beam. The materials used for this are light-sensitive, thermosetting polymers that are used in liquid form, also called resin.
