PETG filament has versatile 3D printing options, you can print objects in any desired shape. At the right temperature, the filament becomes like liquid. This allows you to print with PETG filament just as fast as with PLA filament. In addition, PETG filament is odourless during printing, so you will not be bothered by unpleasant odours. Compared to other filament types, PETG is just as user-friendly to print with as PLA and stronger than ABS.
PETG filament is a suitable material for strong and water-repellent 3D prints. The material PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) is known for the transparent returnable bottles (PET bottles) and is fully recyclable.
PETG is very fluid when it reaches the right printing temperature, allowing high-speed printing.
The printing temperature of PETG is between 230°C and 250°C. The higher the temperature, the more shine the object gets.
PETG is very suitable for use as a raft. Due to the glossy surface, the part separates easily from the PETG raft.
When you turn off the fan while printing the first layers, you decrease the chance of warping (warping of the filament).
