The Bondtech extruder upgrade kit is suitable for the Prusa I3 MK2.5 and the MK3 and already have gears. This kit includes parts to convert the extruder to a 3:1 gear ratio, which provides greater precision, higher resolution, optimised geometry for the heatsink and many other improvements. In addition, the weight is reduced, which reduces vibrations and ghosting.
This set comes with a 25mm pancake stepper, with a torque of 18 Ncm for a lightweight yet powerful extrusion and a new cable for connecting the motor. Use the part cooling fan (50mm x 15mm) and original (40mm x 40mm x 10mm) of the current printer, these are not included in this article, as well as the filament sensor.
The E steps should be updated to 415 for MK2, MK2s and MK2.5. Follow Prusa/Bondtech guide for E steps calibration for MK2.5 and MK3.
The weight is reduced by 121 grams.
